I love how, during fall, everything has a hint of pumpkin. I’ve been seeing recipes all over the place that call for ‘pumpkin pie spice‘, and I thought, now what the heck is pumpkin pie spice? I did some research and found a great recipe at bettycrocker.com for it, which is so easy to make, and will save you running out to the store to get pumpkin pie spice. You probably have all the ingredients at home!
- 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground allspice
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground cloves
You just mix them up in a bowl and put in any airtight container you’d like. I recommend using an old spice jar that you’ve cleaned out!
