Be Brave Quotes – Bravery Quotes to Bring Out Your Inner Warrior
Living a mindful life sometimes means taking chances. It means finding ways to be brave, when you think you might not be successful. I hope these be brave quotes and my story will empower you to take a few risks in your life.

I went to a job interview today, and it was a group interview. I had never done a group interview before, and was a little nervous just because I didn’t know what to expect.
They took ten of us (out of the 35) in at one time and we all sat around a table in a restaurant. He asked our names and our favorite beer and what we would pair it with for food (the restaurant has an emphasis on craft beers). Then, the question came that really got me. “What is your biggest accomplishment to date?”
I was suddenly very glad this was a group interview. I wanted to see what everyone said.
The first man said that raising his wonderful daughter was his biggest accomplishment. His daughter was sitting beside him (she was 18) and said her biggest accomplishment was graduating high school.

Then, another girl – Kimberly (who I’d met outside) said that when she first tried to do TGI Fridays bartending competition, she had placed really poorly. But she added that the next year she worked her hardest and studied and made lots of drinks, and placed first at the next TGI Fridays competition, and second in her state (VA)! It was so neat to hear everyone’s stories!
Then I started thinking about what I was going to say when it was my turn. How do you choose what the ‘best’ thing you’ve ever done is?? I thought for a while, and then suddenly I knew what to say.
The man in the plaid shirt who was managing the restaurant and running the interview looked to me, and I said “My biggest accomplishment to date is giving myself permission to do the things I’m afraid of. I used to be scared of things and wouldn’t try something because I was nervous, but a couple of years ago I realized that life is just too short, and that you should do things that make you scared!
With that in mind, I moved all the way out here to Los Angeles (from North Carolina) to do what I love to do, and I studied abroad. Doing this has given me a richer life, and so for me, that’s my biggest accomplishment to date.”

When I got home I started thinking a lot about bravery, and what it means. I remembered a video that I saw a while ago that really spoke to me about being brave and living for who you are, and not being afraid to embrace yourself.
It was Sara Bareilles’ video for Brave, and the first time I saw it, I couldn’t stop watching it. The message about being brave really stuck with me, and watching the video just made me smile.
If you just give yourself permission to not be scared, you might be surprised how different your life can be. Just remember, it’s natural (and completely ok!) to be afraid, but you get to decide how much control that fear has over your life.

A friend once told me that his mother always said “You should do one thing that scares you every day.” I loved that quote. I don’t always follow it, but I notice that when I do, I normally am happy that I too the risk.

So today I went for an interview for a new job (because the one I have now is not working so well for me), and even though I was nervous about applying in a group, it ended up being great.
I met some people with amazing stories, and found out that I should be proud of myself for my accomplishments. Sometimes it’s easy to focus on the negatives, and the things that haven’t happened in your life yet. But that job interview made me step back, and see how brave I really am.
My next step in being brave
My latest attempt at being brave is to re-brand my blog. In the past, the site has focused on fashion, jewelry, DIY tutorials and recipe creation. but now I am shifting focus to hone in on the overall theme of mindfulness.
The posts you’ll see in the future will be explaining everyday mindfulness, including crystal healing and tips to create the life you dream of living.
Making such a big change requires me to really be brave. “Will the readers like the change? Will I be successful? Both are questions I ask myself.
My wish is to bring positivity to you if you’re having a bad day, and give you tools to help manage any stress you may be experiencing. These be brave quotes are a way for me to encourage you to push forward and for me to remind myself to continue to be brave!
How can you be brave?
So I’m going to pose to you the same question that my interviewer asked me, and let you reflect on that: “What is your biggest accomplishment to date?”
Thanks for reading friends! And don’t forget, be brave, even if things are scary at first, even when you don’t want to. It makes you a stronger person to keep taking risks.
