4th of July Outfit

Independence Day is right around the corner. This 4th of July outfit is quick to put together and has a patriotic feel going for it.

I’m a big fan of getting dressed up for any and all holidays.  Anyone who knows me knows that I’ve got a look for any occasion!

When I was little I used to wear those Old Navy 4th of July shirts with the American flag and the date and year (you know, the ones everyone wore in the 90s).

However, now that I’m a little older (and hopefully much wiser) I try to have my outfit be less ‘in-your-face’ about the holidays and more subtly cool!

I decided to give you a sneak peek of my 4th of July outfit in case you were looking for some inspiration this year!  I grabbed one of my favorite vintage clutches and went out in my neighborhood to snap a few photos!

I can’t help but be thrilled to show you my look for this year’s festivities!

I’ve had this clutch for years.  My mum gave it to me when I was in high school, and since it’s a really vibrant color I don’t bring it out all the time and I save it for more special occasions.

This has definitely proven to be good for my clutch though.  Even though I’ve had it for a long time, it’s still in amazing condition.  I’m sure that’s partially due to limited use, and partially due to vintage items being so well made!!

As you’ve seen, my clutch serves as the “red” part of my red, white and blue look.  My gladiator sandals serve as the “white” part of the look!

I love wearing sandals in the summer because the idea of wearing close toed shoes in weather that’s over 90 degrees is just not appealing to me.  Plus they’re cute!

I believe that outfit are all about the little details.  My theme is red white and blue, but each piece of my outfit plays a part in making it a 4th of July outfit.  Any one of these pieces by themselves wouldn’t scream holiday, but putting them all together does!

I’ve been wearing this watch that Skmei gave me non-stop for the past couple of weeks, and knew it would be perfect for complete this look!  I love how sleek and minimal the face is, and how the band adds a pop of color that’s perfectly festive for this 4th of July outfit.

I’m obsessed with my outfit choice this year for the 4th, and while I have no idea what my plans are yet, I know this outfit would fit in perfectly anywhere.  It would be great for a beach day, a bbq at my house or just running around town enjoying the sun!

Pairing this cute patterned skirt from H&M with this blue hi-low cotton shirt is a great way to beat the heat and stay cool while also looking really put together.

I am excited for what this year will bring for the 4th of July, and know that whatever I do, at least I won’t have to worry about what I’m wearing!  I hope you have a wonderfully fun and relaxing holiday!
